Inspiring Art for All 

This year, we at Rosetta Art Centre in conjunction with the Refugees and Arts Initiatives (R&AI)  are transforming our annual Christmas Festival into an exciting free arts event for all the family! Bring along your friends and family to take part in one of our many workshops, to listen to the steel drum band and carol singers, or to sample some of the food at our ‘Food Debate’ stand. There is something to inspire the creative side in everyone.

There will be a Mural wall that is open to everyone to contribute towards, creating a community-wide artistic masterpiece! Try having a go at the ancient Chinese art of fabric tie-dye - a fabulously creative process which can produce beautifully colourful results. Or perhaps get involved with the photography workshop, making sun prints - one of the oldest and most fun of the photographic processes.

Why not send some- one a postcard made by yourself from the postcard painting workshop? Get creative and paint your own immaginary holiday destination, or create a mini work of art to send to a friend.

get into the festive mood with our Carol singers, and let your imagination be whisked away to the caribbean with the sounds of the steel drum band.

There will be sounds to inspire the mind and soul. There will be the chance to get a Henna tattoo, face painting try pottery painting.

 Sample some of the culinary treats at the Food Debate stand, where vegan and vegetarian foods will be on offer.

You can get involved with the debate and learn about some of the issues involved with nutrition, diet and sustainable living.

You could even have your photography exhibited at the art centre, as well as other local centres, by entering our competition. You might even win!

The theme this year is ‘Green Living’, so get those thinking caps on and be creative! Entry into the competition is free, just e-mail your entry to info@rosettaarts.org as a jpeg file with ‘Competition’ as the subject and include your name and title of the picture.

Selected entries will be printed and exhibited at the festival, with the winners being announced on the day. This years festival is not to be missed!
