Rosetta Art Centre is a visual art centre based in Stratford, East London. Our mission is to support and develop individuals in creative and artistic fields.
It was first established as Rosetta Studio Workshops by ex-university lecturer, Yvonne Humble, in 1993 and based in a single classroom at Rosetta Primary School, Canning Town. It quickly expanded to a new location in 1995 at the Hamilton Road Centre, Stratford, which remains the home of Rosetta Art Centre today. In 2007 it was renamed Rosetta Art Centre under the new management of Sanaz Amidi as Head of Centre and Trisha McCauley as Centre Coordinator.
From the outset Rosetta Art Centre focused on the visual arts education of local adults and whilst this remains a core activity today, the Centre delivers a far wider range of programs, activities and services to the community, including:
- Accredited level 2 & 3 courses for 16+ year olds
- Non-accredited courses for 16+ year olds
