Imaginings of Canning Town is a project which engaged 65 children and young people aged between 9-14 years old from four local schools. They experienced the sharing and exhanging of ideas about their local environent, learnt about the changes that are happening in the area and contributed towards the making of fun and experimental mixed media models.

They participanted in after school workshops, drawing the designs for all the models themselves and learning how to hand build objects.

The project culminated in producing their individual imagininary Canning Town as well as models brought together as an installation which was presented on Thursday 8th December 2011 at Rokeby School.

The final presentation of the works was officially opening by Councillor Schafer where gifts and certificates were presented to the children and young people.
