The Humble Gallery

The Humble Gallery was created in 2015 and is named after Yvonne Humble, founder of Rosetta Arts.

The Humble Gallery

We support emerging artists across east London, offering opportunities to exhibit work alongside professional development to raise their artistic profile whilst exposing them to wider audiences.

Seasonally, we invite artists to apply for an in-house residency of up to 6 weeks which includes use of the gallery space as well as access to the photography, ceramics, and painting studios at Rosetta Arts.

In parallel to artistic development, we generate income for artists and the gallery by selling artwork through partnerships with online gallery resources such as Artsy.

Happenings in The Humble Gallery

Connecting with communities is the heart of the gallery’s diverse programme. Our events and activities are focussed around art and wellness for local audiences to get involved and form lasting connections.

We welcome ideas for happenings in our space, from supper clubs and dance classes to knitting circles. Please get in touch to see what we can do together.

Our programme includes:

  • Exhibitions: see the Humble Gallery exhibition programme.
  • Creative workshops and artist led discussion groups designed and delivered by exhibiting artists to complement exhibitions.
  • The Community Health & Wellness Project: a termly course forging principles of creativity with nutrition, fitness and wellness, specially designed for women in the local area.
