Sanaz Amidi

Chief Executive Officer

As the chief executive officer of the organisation, Sanaz works in partnership with Rosetta’s key stakeholders to provide leadership, vision and direction for the organisation. She is passionate about advocating for the arts to bring positive change by harnessing the power of the arts, the artists and the community to make the widest possible impact.

Trisha McCauley

Director & Centre Coordinator

Trisha manages all the courses, classes and events at Rosetta Art Centre. With a background in commercial photography, she found herself drawn to the artistic side of the photograph because of the freedom of expression. Also currently teaching Creative Enterprise, combining business with art to empower the local creative community.

Steve Marriott

Technician and Painting Tutor

Steve has been involved with Rosetta for many years, as a student, resident artist and painting tutor. His work explores the emotional and mental states of the figures that emerge and are dictated by the marks and brush strokes made during the process. www.stevemarriottartist.com

Linda Gomez

Ceramics and Drawing Tutor

Linda has a degree in Ceramics and has been teaching for many years. She works with a variety of media including paint, photography, print making and most recently glass.  For the past two years Linda has focused  on developing a range of jewellery  inspired by Mediterranean and African design.

Veronica Rowlands

Fashion Illustration Tutor

Veronica is an artist & illustrator, she completed a degree in Surface Pattern Design in 2009 and has been exhibiting and teaching ever since. www.missvdesigns.wordpress.com

Denise O’Brien

Photography Tutor

 Denise teaches photography at Rosetta. She studied photography at De Monfort University, Leicester and at The London College of Printing. She has worked on an eclectic range of publications. www.docutage.com/essex

Aisha Naim

Drawing and Islamic Arts Tutor

Aisha’s experience in exhibiting and teaching from Lahore to London gives her a unique perspective on her practice and teaching. Highly trained in the art of miniatures, Aisha teaches drawing and Islamic Arts at Rosettta.

Jay Louv

Drawing & Painting Tutor

One of our newest tutors, conceptual artist Jay Louv teaches the Drawing & Watercolour course at Rosetta. Jay describes himself as an artist who is engaged in subjective and objective investigations between seeing and thinking. www.preciousdots.co.uk

Simon Richardson

Painting Tutor

Simon first trained as a fashion designer but made a career change and trained to be an art therapist.  He has worked in the health and social care sector for nearly twenty years.

Sarah McFadden

Programmes Officer

Having completed a Masters Degree in East Asian Art, at Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Sarah moved into the gallery and auction house sector. With over six years experience, Sarah has a track record of working in gallery management, fine art logistics, exhibitions planning and project management.

Olivia graduated from the Royal College of Art over the summer with an MA in Visual Communication. She has a propensity for human-centered research methodologies, participatory practice and relational aesthetics.

Valentina Hasler

Having just completed Business college in Austria, Valentina has joined us from Liechtenstein, a principality between Switzerland and Austria.

David Forrester (Chair of Advisory Board)

Government Advisor on Education

 David Forrester is an international expert in education finance and strategy, with extensive experience in planning at national, regional and sub-regional levels of school, further education, training and university systems. After a degree at Cambridge and postgraduate study at Harvard, David joined the UK civil service, working for 30 years in a range of Departments.

Trevor Burgess

Artist, Curator and Arts Consultant

 A career that has included curating visual arts, founding creative support networks and managing creative programmes, Trevor is an artist with a vision of giving it to the greater society. After completing his MA in European Fine Art in Barcelona, he has become greatly involved in managing arts training programmes and in evaluating the impact of such programmes for marginalized communities.

Professor Kandarp Mehta

Lecturer at IESE Business School

A lecturer in the Entrepreneurship Department at IESE, Professor Mehta’s research is focused on creativity in organizations and negotiations. A highly regarded academic, he has been awarded fellowship from the Dispute Resolution Research Centre. Kandarp also collaborates artistically including one of the most successful theatre plays of Spain; ‘Campanadas de Boda’.

Antonio Martin

Tech Entrepreneur and Senior Executive

A senior executive in Information Technology & Telecommunications with almost thirty years experience in start-ups, new business development, business planning, business strategy and business management in international environments.

Lucy Windmill

Head of Communications for Digital Transformation, Gov. Digital Service

A career that has spanned private and public sectors, charities, start-ups and social enterprise – Lucy has worked predominantly in communications, but has also managed a number of programmes of work and run a charity. She is currently at GDS, Cabinet Office working to bring digital transformation to government.

Cllr Ann Easter

Ann was born in Upton Park and is now a member of the Labour party representing Canning town north. She  has worked for across a number of charities, community centres and churches across Newham. Ann is fascinated by the diversity of the borough,  really enjoys learning about different cultures and is a keen art lover.
